Barker Property Management and Commercial Real Estate announced the addition of two prominent Baton Rouge properties, Electric Depot and 440 on Third, to its property management portfolio.
Barker’s agreement with these locations includes property management services and tenant relations. Electric Depot, which houses notable tenants such as Red Stick Social, Sweet Baton Rouge and City Roots Coffee Bar, totals 67,000 square feet and is nearly 100 percent occupied. The 110,000 square feet mixed-use space 440 on Third is 100 percent occupied and includes Matherne’s Market, apartments and a gym.
With this substantial increase in portfolio, Barker also brings on three new employees: two full-time property managers and a part-time property assistant.
“Helping local businesses thrive, especially during tumultuous times, is our main goal,” said Barker President and CEO, Branden Barker. “Finding ways to increase asset value while keeping costs reasonable and maintaining strong tenant relationships is an important aspect for commercial property investors and business owners. We seamlessly integrate into daily operations, building cohesion to positively impact everyone involved in the property.”
At the end of 2020, the Barker team moved into a larger office while experiencing higher demand and added Administrative Assistant, Jordan Achord, to the team.
Barker’s portfolio currently includes properties throughout the Greater Baton Rouge region, including Perkins Crossing Shopping Center and historic landmarks in Downtown Baton Rouge, Cyntreniks and The Lyceum, as well as the recently added Tessier Building and event venue Gallery 14.
